10.29.03 Wooooo Gods & Undergrads is back and ready for action!
I know, I know you all probably thought it was gone for good, but oh-ho-no!
So here it is. I'm gonna fiddle with all the readjusting of headings and
squishing the pages of chapter one together later. Because I have a crick
in my neck a mile wide. But before I go off to sleepy land, I need to
mention one of my best friend's new websites -- Matt
Hollis, everyone! Clap your hands in the air!! His fabulous site features
a lot of his fabulous artwork (more is still coming, oh yes), which cannot
contain itself in merely one style. Matt has exploded onto the scene with
his new webpage, so keep an eye on it, it's gonna go places fast! And
mad props to Dan for designing it!
10.13.03 Okay, just to show everyone I haven't been slackin', here's
a sneak peek at my short story for Young Bottoms in Love. I appreciate
how patient everyone has been, and I can say now that I do see a light
at the end of the tunnel . . . . Oh yeah and there is only one
person to blame for my lack of productivity in the future, and that is
my brother Sean, for giving
me a Nintendo Game Cube for my birthday. Goddamnit -- new Mario!! Rrrrrggghhh
. . .
10.8.03 Woooo 24 here I come! Today was a nice foggy day, scattered
with the first flowers I've ever received, lots of new Target gear, streamers
attached to my door, wax on my cake, wine I could never find before, oodles
of DVDs, a long scarf, a thermos that won't spill, a video of me as a
fat baby, a dress for Halloween, my Dad singing, a wrong call on my cell
phone, and all in all a stupenderiffic birthday. Thanks to the kids out
there who know me and made it possible! . . . P.S. Comic still coming
. . . eek . . .
10.3.03 Hi all, in case you're wondering, no, I haven't forgotten
to update Gods & Undergrads and I haven't given up on it either. I'm simply
trying to get this Young Bottoms in
Love story out the door before I continue so that Tim
Fish doesn't kill me. Because I have a lot of Gods & Undergrads
written out ahead of time, it's a lot easier and faster for me to do that
than to start a new project. Plus there's the pressure of it being good,
since it's for someone else's story. With Gods & Undergrads, I'm more
of the "screw it, it's my story, if I mess it up it's just all a
part of the tale" attitude. Anyway. So the story will continue very
soon with Chapter Deux, don't quit checking and don't give up on me yet!
. . . Other than that I went to my first ever football game, have been
uber-busy at work, and have used fish oil as my shield against the tyranny
of the fall cold. I still love fall though. October is
the best month of the year, and not only because it houses my birthday.
It's just perfect. Cool weather, leaves bursting with color, pumpkins,
loads of candy, and just a hint of spookiness in the air. What month could
possibly top that? (If you say March or August, there's obviously something
seriously wrong with you.) So in conclusion, go pick out a pumpkin, walk
through a corn maze, put together a good costume, and before you know
it Gods & Undergrads will be back and new again.
