March-May 2002 News

5.24.02 I must say mad congrats to my roommate Kerry who graduated from college yesterday -- and I heartily welcome her into the realm of unemployed art majors! Wooooo!

5.23.02 What is it about doing things I hafta do that just annoy the bejesus out of me? For example, rather than doing yoga or making any headway at all on my comic, I spent THREE HOURS scanning and fixing up an old comic that I never had any intention of doing anything with. And then I erased it. Just another productive day in the life of ME.

5.22.02 DAMN. Okay, I know I have just not been keepin' up with this website business. It's just annoying cause my online comic has been stalled forever so that I can get a pesky side comic out in print and hopefully make some money off of it (tee hee! art for profit!). But the more and more I read all the super-cool web comix out there the more terribly excited I get about doing my own. And Honies, this comic has been years in the making. I don't wanna talk it up, tho, cause it's not a masterpiece, just been redone several gazillion times. So I'm telling ya that to let you know I care and I hope I hope it'll be decent and people will read it. Okay well, otherwise, not much to say, I quit the coffee shop-type job cause of grrr grrr miscommunication, and I'm currently piecing together several jobs, much to the chagrin of my parents. I desperately need a vacation. But, don't we all? It's time to strap on the bathing suit and get some summer fun! Wooooooo!

5.20.02 I just finished reading the eighth Christopher Pike book I've ever read -- five of which, much to my chagrin, I've read in the last two months. But those teen horror novels get me every time! Angry high school seniors committing heinous acts -- it's very addicting!

4.8.02 It's getting warm and fun out! Do like I did and put aside those angry feelings like "why the hell didn't it snow this winter??" and go outside and play! I recommend playing Four-Square, and dodging the evil looks people give you as they drive continuously through your game.

3.25.02 Alone time is fun. You get stuff done, eat reasonably well, and keep things remarkably clean. Plus you can dance as often and obnoxiously as you want. To the same song OVER and OVER again! Yaaaay! My neighbors are probably sick to death of hearing "Golden Years" by David Bowie by now. Oh, and "Over and Done With" by the Proclaimers. I love that crap. So what? My neighbors have heavy-footed parties all day long, so here's to gettin back at them. I'm making slow progress on a new comic, not the online comic, though I did write a bit of the script for that one. I'm working hard right now on some short story comics I can hopefully get published in print. We'll see how that goes.

3.21.02 I work in a coffee shop. Yes, I am a college graduate. I don't feel ashamed. I can't find any work in my field and I take pleasure in the simple things, like interacting with pleasant people and getting endless free refills of Mochas. I don't think that makes me too much of a failure.

3.20.02 The online comic will be up soon, it's not up now due to the fact that in its current state it sucks. So I'm attempting to make it less sucky before I publish it online. Although, only my dearest friends and family really have access to this l'il website, so it's not like I'm really gonna get any jackass comments like, "Where's that damn online comic??" yet. (Unless by Sean) But hopefully those dear friends and family members will check back every now and again for exciting developments, which may or may not eventually appear. Anyhoo, this website already kicks my previous website's butt so here's hoping it'll get even better! Stay with me, dear readers!
