11.28.04 Ok, so weeks have gone by without an update, so severe
apologies to all of my readers who are probably not my readers anymore!
The end is in sight for my time-sucking proposal to be over, but regardless
I promise to update this week. Happy post-turkey tidings!
11.7.04 Wow 101 pages of Gods & Undergrads so far!
11.4.04 Halloween pics are finally
out and about. Somewhat lame, but clearly I was too busy being drunk and
fighting with a samurai to take good pictures.
10.27.04 I have made the executive decision to separate actual
news on my comic, upcoming comic events, hootenanies, etc. from more journal-type
entries. So from now on if you guys out there have any interest in hearing
my personal ramblings, go here
to my new livejournal page. Otherwise, what's up here will be strictly
business! Yah! Oh . . . so in the business of news, comic will probably
not show for a while this week due to massive Halloween preparations.
Please stay tuned.
10.24.04 Hey kids, sorry about the delay in progress on the site.
But you'll be happy to hear after much searching and having to deal with
a girl at Party City who actually didn't know what a
gladiator was . . . I have gotten my Halloween costume, yippee! (No, I
don't know why you would be happy to hear that or really give a crap,
I just want to mention it, ok?) Because I abhor the whore costumes most
females choose for Halloween (for examples, see Mean Girls) and I'm a
big dork, I'm going as Achilles! And if you're thinking of me in a big
foot costume (as people have asked me), then shame, shame on you, you're
no better than Miss Party City. Also on that note I want to voice my outrage
at the "Athena Goddess" costumes I've seen out there. Apparently
the Halloween costume manufacturers of the world find it necessary to
make an Athena costume, but not to have it differ from
the generic "Greek Goddess" costume. Which I don't understand,
since how boring is it to have two essentially exact costumes out on the
market when Athena has so many fun accessories to incorporate? So in the
future, if anyone out there is even considering going as an Athena, please
please put on a helmet, Medusa breastplate, spear, and
an owl fer cryin' out loud. Don't just traipse around in a robe and some
flashy arm bands. . . . Now that I have completely separated
myself from the entire world with my nerdy diatribe, I'll end with this:
The Grudge is the scariest movie ever!! If you have a severe problem with
people moving unnaturally and things seen in mirrors (as I do), be forewarned!
10.8.04
Turning 25 means I can drink Appletinis while wearing pink and looking
like a businesswoman. It also means I will get the coolest shirt ever!! Long live the creepy thin man!
10.7.04 As promised, SPX pics! Details and Italy Extravaganza
pics still to come ... comic still still to come ...
10.5.04 Hey everyone out thar! No I'm not dead, I've just been
smacked with fun event after fun event (with stressful events mixed inbetween).
So the computer is just now up and running, my posessions are still primarily
contained in boxes, I have a wicked cold, and my birthday's on Friday!
Hooray! So anyway, details from Italy (Vicious bees! Vespas! Really good
wine every single day! Nerdy myth factoids! Extremely small bathtubs!)
and SPX (Horrible Scottish accents! Hampden, hon! Evil cat residue! The
horror of a man with birthing hips! Pie!) will come with many, many pictures
post haste. Also, the books I didn't sell at SPX I'm going to figure out
how to get up here for purchase. If there's any interest in that, stay
tuned!
9.9.04 That's it! That's all she wrote for Chapter Two!! (And
by she, I mean me) So after several painstaking days of comicking, I am
off to Italy! Y'all better come and see me at SPX in October. Thank you
and goodnight! Enjoy the veal!
9.6.04 A frikkin huuuuuge update! After spending all weekend (inbetween
lifting furniture and trying to pack) killing myself to finish Chapter
Two of G&U, I've started to post the results. After this installment,
there's only two pages left to the chilling conclusion! Based on the current
state of my wrist I don't think you should expect to see this much updating
ever again. Gah. But since this week I'm supposed to
move out of my old apartment, paint the new house, pack for my trip to
Italy on Saturday, and get these books off to the printers in time for
SPX . . . a little hand-killing was only necessary. Anyway, hope you kids
enjoy the results!
