Gods & Undergrads Characters Kickin' Descriptions Written by Dan Williford LELAINA The tall, blonde, unusually pale protagonist of our story. Lelaina is a sophomore who manages to be something of an outsider due to spending her first year of college as a commuter (one of the lonely sets who visits campus just for class). When Lelaina finds herself in line for student housing, flanked by awkward freshmen, she is rescued by a trusting stranger who signs her on as the third roommate of her on-campus flat. Figuring out her class schedule and defending herself against clumsy boys are just a few of the things she's discovering about herself this year. ANNEKE Third-year artist student with a great sense of accessory. Certain that Lelaina would find her either way, Anneke skips a few steps and pulls her out of a crowd - literally. Anneke uses her familial connections to weasel a timid Lelaina into the last slot of her coveted on-campus apartment, and into her lively social circle. ANTHONY The older, wiser brother of Anneke, able to turn Lelaina into a blushing loser in a single smile (charm and a nice ass are family traits). Anthony is also good friends with his sister's roommates. NAN A nurse who was introduced to her daughter by fate, Nan raised Lelaina after she was abandoned in the hospital where Nan worked as a nurse. She's ready to see her baby into the big wide world … with one final trip to Target. LUCY Third-year student who looks better than most in a tank top. As Anneke's snappy, slightly more cautious roommate and best friend, Lucy is always willing to say just what she's thinking. NEIL A world traveller and roommate of Linden, described by Lucy as "beautiful, rich, and smart." Neil runs on the track team with the other boys of a neighboring party house. SLOANE Firty, sporty, and willing to ditch the girls for some hot boys - Sloane is the reason Anneke and Lucy were high and dry for a new roommate at the last minute, prompting them to snatch up Lelania. And all was forgiven. LINDEN A tall blonde jock with green eyes til Tuesday who resides in the "party house" below. Linden is prone to mistaking Lelaina for someone else, but she makes sure he realizes she's not like most of the girls he hangs around. All character descriptions are only from Chapter One.
